Complaint: Hi my name is XXXX XXXX with phone number XXXX XXXX XXXX..i was custumer of tcf bank illinois i wasn't happy about their services and illegal fees..so i decided to close my account but they charged me amount of aver 200 $ just illegal over draft fees..i refused to pay it..but they reported me and put me in checklist so i can't open checking account with any bank..it 's has been around 4 years ago ... i try to solve problem but with no results..few months ago i received check of refund from federal trade commission because they catch my tcf bank charging me illegal fees.from my checking account so federal found me paying other illegal fees between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX..shame on them..now i need my right to let tcf bank to remove. Me from checklists so i can be free to open checking account with another banks ..also i need to be reimbursed me XXXX $ for this problem and the big issues they make it for me for years so i still as American citizen can open any bank account because of illegal overdraft fees i have been charged ..i need your and i believe in American justice i believe in your guts i believe on land of uncle sam thanks

Complaint: On XX/XX/2019, a purchase from an organization titled as " XXXX '' appeared on my bank account for an amount totaling {$72.00} plus a {$2.00} international service fee from the same organization. I did not purchase any product or service that day and did not know about the transaction until my financial institution, TCF bank, alerted me of possible fraudulent activity. I had told them that I had not instigated the transaction, so they went forward by freezing my account. I was not automatically refunded for my money, as I was told that I was responsible for calling the organization to issue a refund to my account. After being given the phone number of the organization, I attempted to call and was never able to contact someone. At this point, I expected that the organization may be illegitimate and asked my bank to contact the company since I had no luck talking to someone. Afterward that conversation with TCF bank, I was instituted a provisional credit for the amount that appeared to be stolen from my account. On XX/XX/2019, my provisional credit was reversed. I was told that after investigation, they had come to the conclusion that I had benefited from the transaction made to the organization. When I asked how they came to this conclusion, I was told that the details of my case could not be provided unless I submitted a written report to my branch or mailed it in. I was unwilling to do this, as I did not believe that further investigation would cause TCF to change their mind and I was already frustrated at the amount of time I had spent trying to get my money back, figuring that the extra time would probably not be worth the money that was stolen. I still do not understand how they believe that I benefited from the transaction after they flagged the payment as possibly fraudulent, especially when I have had no other history of suspicious activity on my account for the many years that this account has been open.
