Issue: Managing the loan or lease
My principle payments never or seldom was applied as principle payments instead all principle payments was applied to the loan as installment payments. Despite my many many efforts in 2024 to fix this. Never fixed. Would often be denied contact to higher authority from Customer Service reps. & Once received an email reply in 2024 that issue was resolved. But not because principle payments went right back to being posted as installment payment.

Money transfer, virtual currency, or money service
Issue: Unexpected or other fees
I had XXXX XXXX national bank assist me with a wire transfer to purchase a home in XXXX. After multiple attempts due to the incompetency of their employee, I noticed additional monies above and beyond XXXX XXXX rate was missing. I contacted the company both through email and over the phone, and I was told the only money taken out before sending to the receiving bank was a {$50.00} fee. I went into detail about the missing money from the first transfer and how important it was that I find out where that money went so when I transferred the large amount, it didnt happen again. I was told that it must be the receiving bank that was taking additional money from XXXX XXXX rate. I had heard that banks in XXXX often use a different exchange rate than we do, so that they can make money off of it, so I assumed that what they told me at Old Point national Bank was true. So I sent the money in pesos so that I would get the XXXX exchange rate. But what I later found out was that Old Point national Bank did not tell me the truth about the wire transfers. I did my due diligence and spoke to XXXX different employees of this bank, and neither of them told me what was about to happen. When I did the wire transfer for {$130000.00}, Old Point national bank took an extra {$5000.00} of it for their trouble! I was told after the transfer went through by their employee, that XXXX XXXX uses an exchange rate the only they know about, and they didnt bother to mention it to me previously. Anyone can XXXX XXXX XXXX rate, and I was also on an app called XXXX, which told us the daily/hourly exchange rate. Old Point national Bank used a different rate and claimed they had every right to do so. Even though I had specifically called for this reason, and they failed to disclose to me what they were doing. I have asked them to return my additional money, and they refuse to do so. I trusted my bank, and they purposely with held important information from me, even when I specifically was asking about it! What do we do if we cant even trust our own bank!

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
In XX/XX/year> through XX/XX/year>, I visited a TowneBank branch and applied for a line of credit. At that time, I was clearly informed that the minimum XXXX XXXX requirement to qualify was XXXX. My XXXX XXXX at the time of application was well above that thresholdcloser to XXXX, thus exceeding the criteria for approval. This can be verified through both the banker who assisted me and the banks security camera Formal Complaint Regarding Discriminatory Lending Practices and Breach of Fair Banking Standards by Branch XXXX XXXX XXXX To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to file a formal complaint against TowneBank and specifically Branch XXXX XXXX XXXX for discriminatory lending practices and failure to adhere to fair banking standards, resulting in financial harm and personal distress.

Between XX/XX/year> and XX/XX/year>, I visited a TowneBank branch and applied for a line of credit. At that time, I was clearly informed that the minimum XXXX XXXX requirement to qualify was XXXX. My XXXX XXXX at the time of application was well above that thresholdcloser to XXXX, thus exceeding the criteria for approval. This can be verified through both the banker who assisted me and the banks security camera footage.

However, despite meeting the posted credit qualifications, I was denied the line of credit without a transparent or justifiable reason. XXXX XXXX XXXX, the branch manager, directly engaged with the banker assisting me and came out personally to deliver the denial and provided vague feedback such as keep working on your credit. This advice made no sense considering my creditworthiness exceeded the stated requirement.

Upon reviewing this incident in the context of previous interactions with XXXX XXXX XXXX prior complaints I filed against her for questionable conductit is clear that there is a recurring pattern of behavior that raises concerns of discriminatory treatment and possible XXXX bias. These actions may also constitute violations of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act ( ECOA ), 15 U.S. Code 1691, which prohibits discrimination in any aspect of a credit transaction on the basis of race, XXXX, religion, national origin, XXXX, marital status, or age.

Additionally, I believe XXXX XXXX conduct is in direct violation of TowneBanks own internal lending and ethical conduct policies. Denying a consumer based on discretionary prejudice rather than transparent lending criteria is unethical, potentially illegal, and does significant damage to the public trust.

What I Am Requesting : XXXX. A full investigation into XXXX XXXX XXXX conduct and lending decisions regarding my application and others in similar situations.
XXXX. A written explanation of the exact reasons for denial and documentation of any criteria used that contradicted the stated XXXX minimum score requirement.
XXXX. A review of XXXX compliance with federal lending laws, including the XXXX and Fair Credit Reporting Act.
XXXX. Corrective action against XXXX XXXX, including disciplinary review and potential termination if wrongdoing is found.
XXXX. A formal apology and record of resolution added to my customer file.

This complaint is being submitted for further escalation to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) and other regulatory agencies if not addressed promptly and transparently.

I expect a written response within 15 business days of receipt of this letter. I will be closely monitoring this matter and reserving all legal rights moving forward.

Sincerely, XXXX XXXX

Debt collection
Issue: Took or threatened to take negative or legal action
I am writing to formally dispute the illegal repossession of my vehicle and the unauthorized disclosure of my personal information by Townebank. These actions are in clear violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), specifically 15 U.S. Code 1692f, which prohibits unfair or unconscionable practices in the collection of debts. On XXXX, my vehicle was repossessed by XXXX XXXX acting on behalf of Townebank. However, at the time of repossession, the proper procedures required for repossession had not been followed. I did not receive any communication on repossession of my vehicle. The last communication I received as I was trying to make a payment was on XXXX XXXX via email with a rep by the name of XXXX XXXX XXXX. I asked numerous times for a link to make a payment, and the rep continued to ask about when the next payment was going to made and refused to send a link. I have the email transcript if needed for verification purposes. The only thing she stated was that I needed to make a payment of XXXX by XXXX or to surrender the vehicle. Again, I asked numerous times for a link to make a payment in which I never received. After not receiving the link, I reached out to a lawyer to get guidance as I felt they were giving me the run around to make a payment and still repo my car. That same day I retained a bankruptcy lawyer due to my financial situation due to becoming XXXX and the car being in 2 accidents in the month of XXXX of this year. I have not received any letter or correspondence from Townebank after that regarding the repossession of my car. Once the car was repossessed, I reached out to get a amount to pay to retrieve my vehicle back and was advised that in order for me to get the car back I would have to pay the remaining balance that was owed as well as where to retrieve my belongings out of the vehicle. The car would have paid off in less than a year. Prior to me XXXX XXXX which caused my financial hardship I paid my car payment monthly. Under 15 U.S. Code 1692f ( 6 ), it is illegal to repossess property when there is no present right to possession, and I believe that this standard was violated in my case. Additionally, it has come to my attention that my personal information was disclosed to a third party without my knowledge or consent during this process. The disclosure of my information to unauthorized parties constitutes a serious violation of privacy laws, and I did not provide any permission for such disclosure. I demand an immediate investigation into this matter
