Issue: Trouble using your card
I am writing to dispute a decrease in my credit limit, which I believe was inaccurately implemented due to a letter sent out regrading the mistake as a result of a company merger from BB & T. This matter has come to my attention through a notification from your company, and I would like to clarify the circumstances surrounding this decision.

I have been a loyal customer of your company for several years, and I have always maintained a good standing with my credit account. However, I recently received a notification that my credit limit has been decreased, which has had a negative impact on my credit utilization ratio and overall credit score.

Upon further investigation, I discovered that the decrease in my credit limit was a result of a letter sent out mistakenly due to a company merger. This information was inaccurate and has unfairly affected my credit standing without any valid reason or basis. As a consumer, I have the right to accurate and transparent information regarding changes to my credit account, and I believe that this decrease was not justified.

I kindly request that you review the circumstances surrounding the inaccurate decrease in my credit limit and take the necessary steps to restore my original credit limit to the XXXX limit. I understand that company mergers can result in operational changes, but it is essential that these changes do not unfairly impact loyal customers like myself.

I expect a written response outlining the actions you will take to address this dispute and restore my credit limit back to its original status within 30 days. Failure to do so may result in further escalation of this matter to the appropriate regulatory authorities.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to a swift resolution and the restoration of my credit limit.

Sincerely, XXXX XXXX

I am writing to file a complaint against Truist Bank regarding the unjust closure of my account due to suspected fraudulent activity. On XX/XX/year>, Truist Bank closed my account, citing suspected fraudulent transactions as the reason. However, the purchases that triggered this action were legitimate and authorized by me.
I immediately contacted Truist Bank to clarify that the transactions in question were legitimate. Despite my attempts to resolve the situation, the bank proceeded with closing my account, causing me significant inconvenience and financial distress.
This action has led to unnecessary complications, including delays in bill payments, and impact in me process my tuition debt payment.

Debt collection
Issue: Took or threatened to take negative or legal action
I am writing to formally request a cease and desist of all collection activities initiated by Truist XXXX XXXX XXXX regarding a business credit card debt of {$15000.00} associated with my business account, XXXX XXXX.
Truist XXXX XXXX XXXX has failed to update my address and other contact information for several months, despite my numerous attempts to notify them of the change. As a result, I have not received any of their communication or the latest information about this debt. The lack of proper notice has led to the matter being transferred to collections, causing undue stress and harm to my business reputation.

Additionally, I did not have an account with Truist XXXX XXXX XXXX that allowed me to make payments towards this debt. I made numerous attempts to set up an account to facilitate payments, but I was unable to do so due to issues with their system, which does not allow payment processing from parties without an existing account. This has further complicated my ability to address this matter.
I request that you immediately investigate this matter and direct Truist XXXX XXXX XXXX to cease any further collection efforts until this issue is resolved. Additionally, I ask that the collection agencies refrain from contacting me directly, in writing, by phone, or by any other means and removed from collections until this matter is properly addressed. I am a hard working mother, this matter is stressing me out indescribably. Theyre sending nasty letters and threatening to place a lean on my bank accounts, homes and cars. This is causing me panic attacks, Im hoping this can be resolved for I can not refrain from this horrific matter if not.

Checking or savings account
Issue: Managing an account
XX/XX/XXXX I deposit a check from an insurance company into my account. I was told that it would be a hold on the account. I waited a couple of days and still no money appeared in the account so I called the XXXX number and they ask that I give them a chance to review my account and came back and told me that they couldnt release the funds and that I would received it XX/XX/XXXX. I filed a compliant with that person -- she stated that there was no one else that I could speak to and that they didnt have a way for me to file a formal compliant. I went into the bank and spoke to a XXXX lady banker ( I dont remember her giving her name ) she took my ID and card and said that the bank would need to verify the funds with XXXXXXXX XXXX to release it. She called a local XXXX branch and they gave her a telephone number. She called the number and then hung up and stated that she didn't have a code to give to the service rep. I told her that I would call them and try to locate a number for the bank to call and come back when I find it. I called XXXX they stated that XXXX can verify the check but also gave me a telephone number for the bank can call. I return to the bank and the same lady was not there so spoke to XXXX who knew about the situation. I told her what XXXX and XXXX said. Called XXXX and they stated that they can verify the check was valid with no holds and this is the normal process. She called the XXXXXXXX XXXX we talked to a couple of people that stated the same thing and I asked if she had a manager I could speak to she said they were out but I could go to the XXXX branch to speak to one. I asked if she could contact her and she said she had already emailed her and was waiting for a response back. XXXX stated she heard from XXXX the manager and she wanted me to contact her. I called while at the bank she stated that they couldnt release the hold and then began to imply that I was preventing and/or harassing XXXX from doing her job because I was there trying to resolve my check hold that the first banker ( XXXX lady ) just said needed to be verified. I thought her job was to assist clients with their concerns.
She told me the hold was on there because of my relationship with the bank I stated it couldnt be Ive be with this bank over 15 years. I then read her what the receipt stated. I request to esculate to her manager she didnt say no but stated that she couldnt provide me with that information. XXXX then got someone on the phone that stated that they couldnt go into someones account without their permission and they could verify with the issuer which is XXXX. XXXX stated why would they ssue a check that they dont have the funds to support. On the receipt it states that the reason BBT is taking this action is because my account has been overdrawn multiple times in the last six months. The charges are {$10.00} and {$5.00} charges for streaming service which a paid a {$36.00} check fee that was on autopay and cell bill which was on autopay before I realized my deposit wasn't being applied. I was also charged service fees for no direct deposits. This was due to a glitch in the VA payment system I am a veteran and my payments for some reason was being sent back to them when I noticed it the VA sent like four payments to account for the error. My account ended up being negative because the payments are on autopay and I didn't understand that I wasnt receiving my payments.

Credit reporting or other personal consumer reports
Issue: Incorrect information on your report
" The Fair Credit Reporting Act ( 15 U.S. Code 1681 ) says ( 1 ) The banking system is dependent upon fair and accurate credit reporting. Inaccurate credit reports directly impair the efficiency of the banking system, and unfair credit reporting methods undermine the public confidence which is essential to the continued functioning of the banking system.

So whenever there is a violation under the FCRA, it impairs the efficiency of the banking system. This is a violation of TILA US Code 1666B since I was never late.

I recently reviewed my consumer report and noticed an incorrect late payment record on my XXXX XXXXXXXX. I have always maintained timely payments on this account. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act ( FCBA ) and the Truth in Lending Act ( TILA ), creditors are required to accurately report consumer transactions and provide a mechanism for correcting errors in a timely manner. Please conduct an investigation into this matter, and if you can not provide documentary evidence of these supposed late payments, I demand these payments to be updated to on time as they should be as I was NEVER late. I expect these updates to be made promptly, in compliance with the law.
