The Huntington National Bank

I have two Certificates of Deposit with Huntington Bank. Yesterday I went to my local branch in Rolling Meadows, IL to renew one of these CD's (just a straight renewal, no withdrawal or additions). There was only one employee in the Branch and he didn't have a clue of how to do this relatively simple transaction. In fact, he told me the CD had already auto-renewed (it hadn't). This person was totally incompetent. I then went to another Branch in Schaumburg, IL. That Branch was also staffed by a single employee because everyone else was "in training" (????). When I asked this lady if she knew how to renew a CD she was at least honest and said "I surely don't".

I'm currently retired but I had worked in banking for 30 years and have never seen this level of incompetence and lack of training. Leaving Branches staffed by a single employee who obviously lacks even a basic level of knowledge is borderline criminal. What the h*ll are you people doing??? Shortly I will go to yet another Branch in Mt Prospect, IL where I have been assured that this transaction will be completed. We shall see. My accounts originated at TCF (a good bank) which, unfortunately, was purchased by an organization of incompetents.

I have tried to resolve a problem and they just give [-] [-] run a round. I want to send [-] email to [-] CEO so [-] is aware of [-] service I have received - and i cannot get any answers. I am issuing a formal complaint to [-] FDIC.

I am very disappointed with this bank. By [-] worst ever..Ordered a [-] bank card and it has taken over 7 days and we still [-] not have it..Talk to other people and they get theres overnight. Also charges on [-] account not made by [-] and they [-] not investigate or remove them..Bad Bank

[-] Gahanna branch of Huntington Bank has [-] worst customer service. Customers stand around waiting for someone to help and [-]’t even get acknowledged. Would be nice to say, have a seat and I’ll be right with you. I usually bank online but I had to [-] in twice. [-] first time was to get a document notarized. I went to [-] cashier’s counter to ask who to [-] to. I was [-] only one there and I stood at [-] counter for 5 minutes while [-] cashiers socialized. Didn’t even acknowledge that I was there. I walked out and went to a non Huntington bank. [-] second time I needed a wire transfer. There was only one person working in [-] office and I stood 20 feet away waiting for her while she was on a personal phone call. When she eventually [-] up she left her office without saying a word. Just ignored [-]. She could have [-], have a seat and I’ll be right back. Nope…just ignored [-]. About 10- 15 minutes later when she came back I told her that I didn’t appreciate being treated like that and she couldn’t care less. Absolutely no customer service at this branch. Seemed annoyed that I was even there. Think I’m going to switch banks.

Months since being a victim of check washing and still waiting for [-] money that they gave away.

[-] communication regarding RV [-] discrepancies after numerous telephone calls/letters sent to Huntington

I have been a customer for 10 yrs. Your bank is so understaffed and impersonal that i [-] be dealing with smaller banks. Went to branch for help and was sent home with a customer service phone number. On [-] [-] pay made [-] bills late after opening [-] account. Last 3 times at [-] branch in rossford [-] i walked out unsatisfied.

This Brookville branch never answers [-] phone. [-] last girl that was [-] branch manager was [-] rudest individual I have ever dealt with. I [-]'t ever complain about anything either. They [-]'t tell you there's anything wrong or that they are putting a hold on anything until you [-] to get your money. Then you find out that there's [-] issue. That is so wrong to [-]. They also won't [-] a check even if it is drawn off of their bank. [-] check is written off of a [-] account and [-] money is there. I wish I never opened [-] account with them. [-] house burned down and I have over $600,00.00 to deposit. Rest assured it [-] NOT be with this bank. I should have read [-] reviews first!

Poor banking institutions

I have requesed why [-] issue [-] branch why money has been taken out of [-] account with no whre or what for. 1500. $ has been gone in two daysnwhen I am only take out 300. in a day. I have a document by Huntington thru a gteivence thru on [-] phone. Months ago I asked face to face and they have n idea what [-] document means. There is always 2 or 3 people asking [-] and no manager never answered [-] even at [-] bank with [-]. I wrote a Office manager on [-] and no answer over months even when I asked to ask [-] and mank manager to reply. I have no idea what this branch or any Huntington Bank [-] not resolve.

I cannot get into [-] account using [-] mobile app, or [-] pc, or [-] automated 24 hour help [-]. No explanations given from any source, poor [-] practice!

Never called a [-] bank at their home office and had to leave a voice [-] for someone to call their customer back.

This bank is absolutely [-] worst. I have been a Huntington customer for many years but [-] be moving [-] money. I asked them to [-] a wire transfer because I was purchasing a boat out of state. [-] banker refused to [-] it because [-] [-] it was a scam. This has proven not to be a scam but at any rate I am a grown [-] [-]. If I wanted to take [-] money and flush it down [-] toilet it is no [-] of theirs as [-] as I pay [-] fee for [-] transfer. I needed them to come through for [-] and they did not. And this is after I waited [-] hour to even see [-] banker. On another occasion I called them about a boat [-] and they called [-] back and [-] they were too busy to work on it. Could I call back [-] next day. I called back [-] next day and still too busy but they would call [-] back. They never called. So not only [-] I practically have to beg them to transfer [-] own money (which they refused to [-]) but also beg them to even [-] money. I thought those to things were what I had a bank for. This is on [-] Parkersburg branch and [-] is [-] person who never called [-] back and [-] is [-] person who felt [-] need to protect [-] from myself rather than transfer [-] money. A totally understaffed worthless excuse for a bank. [-] not bank here. Loyalty means nothing.

[-] wife and I paid off a [-] [-] with Huntington a few years ago. We unfortunately lost [-] title, and we called Huntington to get a lien release letter so we could get a duplicate title. We called them on 9/16/21 and they set up a case number. Today is 11/5/21 and we still [-]'t received [-] lien release letter. They [-] it takes 45 [-] days? This is by [-] [-] worst customer service I have ever experienced. [-] NOT [-] [-] WITH THIS BANK!!!!

Our TCF bank just changed over to Huntington in Ludington, MI. We had 2 TCF locations and 1 Huntington location. They closed 1 of [-] TCF locations making it 1. I was told they were closing [-] 1 Huntington branch now too. So we have all these people going to one office. A small office at that. Maybe 1200 sq ft total. Parking [-]. I tried to [-] in and 50 people in [-]. [-] drive thru packed, [-] parking lot full. I [-] see [-] this goes but probably going to move [-] [-] somewhere [-]. I have been thru 4 bank changes with this bank location and none of them have been like this

Poor service

Deposited 120.00 in atm, giant eagle branch, [-] village, columbus,[-] . It [-] could take bills gave [-] 80 dollars back, kept 40.00. I need [-] 40 dollars returned please. If not I [-] [-] to another bank.

Bad experience with [-] local Boyne City, MI branch and Huntington has purposely seemed to make sure you can't find a number at headquarters to report it. Guess [-] next call is to [-] [-] Attorney [-]. Moved all [-] accounts to another bank after doing [-] with Huntington for 10 years. Great [-] Huntington....

A Nightmare [-] Keeps on Going

I just sat on hold for 55 minutes only to be [-] up on. Huntington used to be top notch but now it is impossible to get through to customer service. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BANK

GOD AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE We refinanced our home with Huntington. We have our [-] accounts with Huntington. We have made two payments ahead of schedule on our [-] mortgage only to be threatened with forced insurance coverage after our insurance company has sent [-] declaration [-] 4 TIMES!!!!!! I have been pushed off on 4 different people at Huntington who have pretty much [-] this is [-] problem. I had to show proof of hazard insurance to refinance they assured [-] at that time that they had all [-] paperwork in order in fact I have several copies of [-] Dec [-] from when we signed final [-]. [-] branch says call corporate you can literally die waiting for corporate to answer and then you are transferred repeatedly and again put on hold each time. Every few years we get a [-] [-] card we are supposed to get 2. They "NOTE" [-] account. It NEVER happens. I have [-] entire string of snarky emails from one supervisor telling [-] to take [-] [-] elsewhere. Someone really should talk to her about customer service and [-] banks work. PLEASE [-] your banking elsewhere. I wish I had.

I have both personal and [-] accounts with Huntington. I love [-] website and mobile banking platform, but when forced to [-] into [-] local branch, it all falls apart. [-] Branch Service Manage is alway barking at customers and she barked at [-] today, which is [-] final straw, so I am moving [-] assets of approximately $60, 000 to PNC Bank tomorrow morning.

I had a check post to [-] checking account on 12 February through [-] ACH credit [-] bank because it was closed by Monday for Presidents’ Day chose not to credit [-] that deposit until [-] following [-] which they say [-] account went negative and charge [-] three nights efficient fees I talk to everybody I could everybody [-] it was [-] fault him when you get [-] ACH direct deposit into your account it should [-] that day and it was made early in [-] morning and they were closed on Sunday and Monday it was made Friday morning I’m very upset with [-] fees nobody wants to help [-] and I wouldn’t

I have been a loyal Huntington Bank customer since it was [-] Am Bank and then [-] Bank. I have [-] personal mortgage through Huntington and they have likely made about $200,000.00 in interest off that [-]. I also had 4 mortgages for rental properties and never missed a payment. On December 26th, 2015 [-] wife of 23 years told [-] she wanted a divorce. I was forced to try and refinance [-] rental properties but Huntington Bank would not [-] it. That led to [-] [-] I had with [-] lawyer where [-] told [-] I was going to have to file bankruptcy. I had no choice since no bank would refinance. Here were are years later and Huntington Bank [-] not allow [-] to deed [-] property to them and [-] not work with [-] to get rid of [-] house. [-] house has been completely destroyed and I am being killed with fines from Toledo for zoning violations. I have attempted to work with Huntington Bank but they refuse, telling [-] to [-] through [-] lawyer (costing [-] thousands of dollars I [-] not have). Recently I have found out I had warrants for [-] arrest. I am a law enforcement officer and this could kill [-] [-]. I filed a complaint with [-] Better [-] Bureau but [-] lady who called, [-] something, again would not or could not help. She did tell [-] that [-] account has a person assigned to it but would not give [-] a name. [-] only reason they can have for not working with [-] to get rid of [-] property is in spite. Every other bank has foreclosed or allowed [-] to [-] a deed in lieu. So much for caring about loyal customers. I cannot recover from [-] wife leaving [-] or [-] bankruptcy until I get rid of [-] last properties, but thanks to Huntington I have had to hire another lawyer and am looking at thousands of dollars in fines and legal fees. I guess they only liked [-] because I was making them money.

Great to bank! with No big [-] and all small ones were taken care of immediately.

With [-] covid virus you would think Huntington in Allegan [-] would offer clients with gloves but they [-]'t. Also workers very rude and whole office stinks like moster drinks. Changing banks being a person who could get [-] virus easily. Feel like they [-]'t care about their customers.

I received outstanding customer service and I'm not even a customer! Chioma [-] at [-] White [-], Mi Meijer branch was extremely polite and knowledgeable helping [-] get account info from [-] fraudulent CC in [-] name. After many call transfers which Chioma made seem quicker with her attentiveness. She followed through today by emailing [-] fraud packet. You are extremely [-] to have [-] associate like Chioma [-]! I suggest you clone her at your nearest [-].

Customer service in branch locations doesn't exist. Little service and knowledge.

Absolutely horrible customer service and processes. Constant run around to get our lein release. Hours upon hours on [-] phone and we still [-]’t received it.

Waited a week to get [-] appointment. When I went to [-] another [-] [-] account they [-] I couldn't [-] in without a mask. We need a BANK not a babysitter! We are ADULTS and can take care of ourselves. We [-]'t need to bend over just so some corporate entity try to make themselves appear as "We Care". We are now looking for a bank that respects ALL of it's customers and not use them as their pawns to make your "statement". We [-] take our 5 accounts elsewhere.

This bank has forced escrow on [-] mortgage [-] for false reasons, refused to provide [-] with [-] ability to file [-] insurance claim and threatened foreclosure on a [-] that I owe less than $200.00 on, please be very careful before you [-] a mortgage with them.

Huntington is [-] worst bank ever [-] [-]. Dealing with hardship is hard enough. Then add 3 months 150 calls, multiple fake names, throwing away [-] submitted packets. Lies after lie. What [-] can I say.

Banked at Huntington 29 years and closed [-] accounts today. They wouldn't deposit a $200 check into [-] acct with 6 figure balance. [-] Brumbaugh at [-] branch was incredibly un helpful and showed no interest in resolving [-] problem. Bad [-] [-].

I can't believe your office closes a dispute/fraud department for a full week with no coverage and your fraud department doesn't [-] a full research when a dispute is claimed on account

Huntington Bank is [-] worst bank in terms of customer service. You [-] getting told different things from different people and no one can explain their practices except to say "That's our policy". I came to [-] prior to selling [-] beautiful home in Arizona and [-] [-] one of your [-] officers stated I could get a [-] approval. I informed her that I had a short sale in [-] 2016 and asked if this was going to be a problem. [-] initiated [-] no and that is why I sold [-] home in Arizona because I waited for her to let [-] know prior to selling and accepting [-] offer to [-] home. Many times during [-] initial information once I found a home it seemed as though she didn't know her duties. [-] added [-] appraisal on [-] [-] after she told [-] there would be no fees for [-] appraisal because [-] home was [-] [-]. Then there were several names that was not [-] on [-] that showed [-] alias names and I notified her that was not [-] and [-] addresses were not mine. [-] told [-] that [-] underwriter wouldn't give [-] [-] [-] because she made a mistake on [-] information that she informed [-] and that her information was not updated. I already sold [-] home and she left [-] family without a home for a short sale that happened 3 years and some months ago. [-] [-] [-] law is 4 years but if she would've notified [-] of this information I wouldn't have ever sold [-] home in Arizona. What is [-] difference between now and five months for this [-]? I have never not paid [-] bills and I have always done [-] right thing. That is why I tried to hold onto [-] property in [-] when I left during [-] housing crisis. I have no other negative inquiries on our credit and we [-]'t have any bills either and we have good credit. This makes no sense that your employee lied to [-] initially and I wouldn't have come here if I knew there was a hold on [-] amount of years on a short sale. [-] lied and sent a letter to [-] realtor stating that I refused to sign [-] documents and that is why I did not get [-] [-]. Why would I not sign [-] documents if I were to get a [-]? Makes no sense, why would
I be in this mess if I wanted a [-] and all of a sudden didn't want to sign [-] [-]. Your [-] officer lied and falsified documents to cover her [-]. I have emails that I sent her when I first reached out to her to ask about [-] short sale and about her telling [-] they wouldn't give [-] a [-]. I have a perfect credit score and [-] only thing I ever had was that home short sale that was sold for [-] amount that was owed, even though it says they took less than what was owed. I would like to speak to someone in your corporate office as I have not been able to get a hold of anyone other than her supervisor [-] Mcdougall and she told [-] [-] did her [-]. That she can't guess what your credit [-] be. I notified her prior of [-] short sale so it's not like I hid it. I tried to speak to her and she wouldn't listen to reason. Your company has destroyed [-] families lives because of a ":mistake" and [-] even notified [-] in [-] email that it was her mistake in [-] first place because she didn't update her information. I also would like [-]'s license pulled and she should not be able to sell loans when she is destructive with customers lives. Your company has defined [-] character in many ways especially sending letters and lying about what is on them in [-] first place. I would like someone to follow up with [-] in this matter,

I have approximately $160,000 in your accounts and when I try to pay [-] bills online I can't. Every so often it states I'm on a different browser. I recently got rid of [-] landline and also have a [-] email address. When yet again I couldn't get in, I had to call [-] 800 number. [-] person tells [-] they can't help [-] and I have to [-] into a branch. I work 6 days a week and [-] only day I have off is Sunday. Because nobody can help [-] over [-] phone. I [-] be taking all of [-] money out of your bank. I have banked with you for 14 years. I've been inconvenienced multiple times with this [-] stating I'm on a different browser. I'm also inconvenienced by being asked to stop work and leave to come in and fix [-] glitch you have in your system. I hate leaving Huntington but even when I called a branch for help I received a voicemail because they were too busy to talk to [-]. I'm sure another bank [-] gladly take [-] money.

Why want y'all process [-] payment

I have spent over a month trying to resolve a serious issue. [-] bank refuses to give emails to any managers even in cases where they violated regulations. Misrepresentations made by their branch managers is a serious matter and should be investigated. This bank has numerous bad reviews on [-] Better [-] Bureau but that has no impact. Hopefully, [-] CFPB [-] investigate this bank and hold them accountable for their deceptive tactics.

We are Huntington customers. Our branch was Manton Mi. That [-], we were running late for a house closing and stopped at our branch office only to find out it had closed and moved elsewhere. Consequently we needed to redirect to another branch for [-] money we needed for [-] closing. Unfortunately this detour was going to cause us to be late. We called [-] Kalkaska Mi branch and told them our situation and asked if they could have everything ready when we arrived. They enthusiastically went to work and had [-] check ready when we arrived. Not only did they have [-] check ready they offered to call [-] closing company to inform them we would be a little late. I [-]’t had customer service like this in quite sometime. Hats off to Kalkaska [-] branch office for going above and beyond. We are grateful!

After being a customer at Huntington bank for over two years. Having [-] personal account in their institution and trusting them with [-] financial assets. Suddenly, [-] amount for 150.00 dollars was taken out of [-] account without [-] knowledge and I was never notified to [-] of owing such amount. [-] customer service representative could not be specific at first when I ask what was [-] miscellaneous transaction about. Then, after 10 [-]. of our conversation I was told [-] Agency Management [-] put [-] overdraft recovery on [-] account. Which makes no absolute sense whatsoever, due to [-] fact when you owe 150.00 dollars to a bank they [-] send you a letter letting you know. That was not [-] case. In two years they have plenty of time to know if I owe them such amount. That is no way of doing [-] or treating a Customer. Due to [-] fact, is [-] customer [-] one who is bringing them [-] and choose to put their trust on them by handling their money properly. I am still waiting to see why 150.00 dollars has been taken out of [-] account without [-] knowledge after being a customer for two years, That is [-] question! Calling [-] bank [-] not change anything they [-] give you another department to talk to. Looked through [-] website, no other number to reach [-] top management. No good!

[-] Simple Debit card was again broken close to [-] [-]. They decided to no simply replace [-] card but close [-] account and issue a [-] card without saying a word about NOT having [-] to [-] current account (knowing this only after [-] card was declined). Now stuck in [-] 30 [-] from home with no gas as [-] customer service supervisor [-] explains there is nothing she can [-]. Great [-] Wondeful Service. Switching Banks ASAP

We have liked Huntington bank BUT when they closed [-] Village of Maybee MI branch it really effected [-] we [-] our banking. [-] Village of Maybee has had a bank here since 1901. [-] closest bank to [-] 560 people living in [-] Village of Maybe plus [-] 3,000 people just outside [-] Village is 20 minutes away. I [-]'t think Huntington took our local businesses and resident's of Maybee in to consideration before they closed. In [-] opinion that goes against what Huntington is supposed to stand for!

Horrible!!! I have been with this bank since 2012 and lately they are hiring incompetent Tellers! [-] branch, 2018 they put $300 [-] in [-] wrong account and I was standing there with teller!!! Feb 2019 Columbus branch, they deposited a [-] check in [-] wrong account in [-] drive through while i was out of town!!! caused [-] great inconvenience!!! now [-] over draft protection I had in placed was removed and they want to charge [-] [-] over draft fee for money they are not paying!!! if they paid it charge [-] if you're not paying [-] draft, remove [-] fee!!!

This bank allows scam money to [-] through its vank it helps people [-] scams

[-] husband had lost his father a couple years ago and today [-] went to deposit his inheritance check from his dad that [-] had just received. This is never a easy situation to deal with in [-] first place and then for your bankers to [-] [-] husband to deposit his deceased fathers check and tell him [-] needs his fathers signature on it or [-] tell [-] state to reissue a check without his fathers name on it is absurd. [-] was so upset after [-] left your bank and call his other syblings that had [-] same exact check as [-] husband and had no issues depositing it . [-] husband [-] now be moving our account to a different bank. We have been a customer of yours for 10 years and this was just uncalled for.

On [-] 10 I deposited a check in [-] account that was wrote to a friend, [-] signed it over to [-]. [-] mext day I tried to sign into [-] online account and it was locked. I called [-] branch amd they told [-] they put a hold on [-] account untill [-] 17. I called out [-] bank every day to make sure [-] account was not overdrawn because i only [-] [-] money for bills in it. Also, i received a letter saying [-] money from [-] checl would be available January17. January17 I tried to sign into [-] account online amd it was still locked. I went to [-] bank amd they told [-], for [-] first time, [-] check was fraudulent. That i had to close [-] account and reopen one. I wejt to [-] [-] got [-] id and wjen i came back into [-] bank i was informed I can not reopen at huntington. I was told because [-] check I have to wait until [-] investigation was over. I asked if they wanted [-] persons name

Bank is horrendous! Run and hide!!! [-] NOT [-] [-] WITH THEM. 10 years after [-] [-] was paid off they still [-]’t sent [-] lien release. [-] [-] department just says “it’s in [-] [-]”!

Huntington is greedy and has overdraft protection which is phony because you still get charged. Thanks for stealing money from people because it's so nice of you people.
