Complaint: I recently discovered that {$30000.00} in monies left to me by my late grandparent were wrongfully kept by Wells Fargo without my permission. Wells Fargo refuses to advise me of the account infromation and I of course have no idea what the account number. If I knew the account number, I would not be filing a CFPB complaint. After my grandparen died, she bequeathed certain funds to me. Rather than advise me of this bequeath from my grandmother, Wells Fargo secretly opened an account in my name, without my permission or knowledge. Wells Fargo illegally kept this account open for at least one year before advising me of the existence of the account. To date, Wells Fargo has failed to give me any information about the account.
