Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, my Mother noticed there were deposits coming into her checking account via XXXX. These deposits were from companies that my Mother has never had any type of relationship with.
We spoke with XXXX XXXX at the XXXX XXXX. He suggested that we reach out to the three companies that made the erroneous deposits. These companies were SC XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX SC and XXXX XXXX. No one at these companies was willing to assist me as I could not supply an account number for them to reference.
We went back to XXXX XXXX who said all he could do was request the ACH deposits be returned. 12 of the original 15 were reversed on XX/XX/XXXX. Before the returns were processed, a fourth company began depositing by XXXX. More deposits from various companies continued to be made, totaling over {$30000.00}, through XX/XX/XXXX.
We opened a new checking account on XX/XX/XXXX. It took several months to transfer all direct deposits and automatic drafts for bills to the new account. During this time, numerous deposits continued, as mentioned above.
In XXXX, I came into the XXXX XXXX and met with XXXX XXXX, with whom we had continued to communicate. We transferred {$3900.00} which was rightfully my Mother 's, into the new account on XX/XX/XXXX, leaving over {$10000.00} in the old account.
During that visit, XXXX and I compiled a list of the deposits that should be returned in order to close the old account. After months of worry and believing the bank would do their due diligence, we moved on.
In XXXX, I received a call from XXXX XXXX. He stated that the bank had exhausted all avenues in returning the remaining funds but there was still {$8700.00} remaining in the old account. We could take a check or the bank would retain the funds. We took a check.
On Monday, XX/XX/XXXX, there were XXXX separate transactions from XXXX XXXX, totaling {$9400.00}, which were debited from my Mother 's new account via XXXX, with no authorization from either my Mother or myself. These amounts were some of the deposits that the bank should have returned in XX/XX/XXXX. We believed, in good faith, that " all attempts had been exhausted ''.
A fraud claim was filed for each of the 24 transactions on Wednesday, XX/XX/XXXX, as soon as we were notified that a check my Mother had written was going to be returned and we learned of the unauthorized debits. The old checking account has nothing to do with the new checking account and is not linked in any way.

Reviews[-] means a part of a review was redacted. Names, profanity, phone numbers, account numbers, and email addresses being the main reasons. False positives happen as well, better to ere on the side of safety we think.
